Hey Besties,
The past couple weeks have been an absolute whirlwind.
I went to Guatemala with a few of my good friends to hike volcanoes, explore new cities, make lots of memories, and celebrate my 35th trip around the sun:
I was home for 24 hours and then took off to Canada with my favorite Swifties to attend the FINAL weekend of the Era's Tour:
We laughed, we danced, we celebrated our inner child, and we made some serious core memories.
While I've been pretty on the go the past couple weeks, I've also had a lot of time to process, reflect, and dream about the future.
From summiting volcanoes with some of my best girls to helping each other get dolled up while sipping wine before the Eras Tour, one common theme kept repeating itself for me, and that is the unwavering strength found within sisterhood and how desperately we need one another.
As women, we are often pinned against each other; competition seeps from our pores, we are constantly comparing, prodding, silently judging, and wondering if we measure up.
But it doesn't have to be this way.
The other side of this coin is the most magical, unconditional, fierce love I have ever experienced.
It is slowing down to cross the finish line together,
Laughing through tears when the golden tattoo freckles don't quite work out,
It is "I'll sit with you until you feel better"
"You don't have to go through this alone"
I'm here, I'm here, I'm here.
It's ten minute voice notes and sending selfies in the mirror before a first date.
It's the constant in the chaos,
The people who show up when he walks away
The hands that picked the pieces up off the floor
The glue that put the heart back together
again and again and again.
It's the reminder that you've never been too much
The echo that you're worthy of love exactly how you are
The safety to feel it all.
The exhale.
The whisper, the pinky promise, the constant.
As I begin this next trip around the sun, I step forward with a heart that is bigger because it was once cracked open, eyes that look forward, because they've spent far too long looking in the rear view mirror, hands that can build, because they've learned to let go,
and an army of sisters who have been there through it all.
I love you, I need you, I am you.
Cheers to what's next.
